Privacy Policy

Lumewell is a private journaling app operated by Giraldo Ventures LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: giraldoventures@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, and your name if you give it.
• What you write: journal entries, guided session answers, onboarding answers, mood check-ins and the short sentences you choose to carry forward.
• Progress data: streaks, experience points, pillar levels and settings such as reminder time.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How we use it

• To run your account and show you your own entries, streaks and progress.
• To generate AI reflections, follow-up questions and insights from what you write, if AI features are on.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

AI processing

When AI features are on, the text you write in a session or entry is sent to Anthropic, which provides the Claude models that write follow-up questions and reflections. Anthropic processes it to return a response under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train its models on this data. You can turn AI insights off at any time in your profile.

Who processes your data

• Supabase: database and sign-in. Your data is stored there, protected so that only your account can read it.
• Vercel: hosting for the app and website.
• Anthropic: AI responses, as described above.
• Email delivery provider: sign-up confirmation and password reset emails.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from your profile, in the app or on the web. Deleting it permanently removes your account, every entry, mood log, insight and all progress from our database right away. Copies in encrypted backups expire on the backup schedule of our providers.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Most of this you can do in the app; for anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the CCPA and the Florida Digital Bill of Rights may give you additional rights.

Children

Lumewell is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Lumewell is a reflection tool, not therapy or medical advice. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or, in the United States, call or text 988.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
